DENATOP P - quick-drying acrylate dispersion enamel -

DENATOP P is a one-component, water based enamel formulated on the basis acrylate dispersion. It contains colourfast pigments, dispergation, soaking, and biocidal agents, coalescents, and other additives suitably modifying the properties of the composition. It contains no aromatic thinners and in comparison with traditional enamels it has minimum effects on both health and environment. Only water is used to clean the tools and the thinned enamel residues are degradable biologically.

Use: DENATOP P is specified for top finishing coatings of steel, galvanized and aluminium structures It is suitable especially for surface finishes of metal segments and structures manufactured in metal industry workshops.

This enamel features very fast drying, quick growth of tack-freeness and hardness of the coat, good adherence to various subgrades, long lifetime under maintenance of appearance and colour shade, very low dirt pick-up rate, and resistance to weather effects.

Surface preparation: The surface must be primed with the DENAKOR anti-rusting coating. Other primer coatings need consulting with manufakturer.

Paint appplication: DENATOP P is applied onto the subgrade by brush, roll, by spraying or dipping, in one or two layers with a minimum pause of 4 hours between the individual coatings. It is recommended always to consult the methods and conditions of application with the manufacturer. The temperature of the subgrade and air must not drop below +15 °C during application and drying of the coating. Both lower temperature and high relative humidity slow down the drying process, the enamel does not produce a perfect film and the lifetime of the coating decreases.

Theoretical spreading rate: 5 - 7 m2 of 1 kg per one coating.

Tinge: The enamel in the consistency as supplied is specified for direct use, if necessary it may be thinned by a small amount of water - 3 % maximum. It is manufactured in shades acc. to RAL colour samples or possibly in other colour shades agreed upon with the customer.

Packaging and storing: It is packed in plastic or metal packages of 0.8 to 200 kgs weight. The product should be stored in its original packages at temperatures +5 °C to +25 °C at places protected against direct sun sudden temperature fluctuations. Its shelf life is 12 months from the date of manufacture.

Safety and hygiene: DENATOP P is a non-toxic and as supplied non-combustible composition. It does not require a hazard warning label in accordance with EC Directives. Prior to applying the coat it is recommended to treat the skin expected to come into contact with the enamel by some skin protective cream. On work it is necessary to use protective aids and to observe the principles of personal hygiene. On spraying the composition it is necessary to wear glasses and respirator mask. When larger areas of skin get stained they should be washed with soap and water, when eyes are affected they shall be splashed by a stream of clean water and in more serious cases a physician should be seen. When working indoors the working place has to be ventilated.
